Congratulations on your admission to the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. We are excited that you will be joining us, and we are pleased to welcome you to our community of exceptional engineering students.
Our students are achievers—winning national and international recognition. You can find out more about what they have done and what you might do during your time at ASU at engineering.asu.edu/achieve. Whatever your interests and passions, you will find a way to explore and fulfill them here.
Our students excel because we believe that experiences beyond traditional coursework are needed to prepare for a successful career. As an undergraduate student in the Fulton Schools of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to create your own path and make a difference from your first semester through programs like Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS), student organizations, professional societies, undergraduate research and peer mentor programs. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the best faculty in the country, faculty who are dedicated teachers, inventors, entrepreneurs, researchers and practicing engineers, and who enjoy working with students on solutions to some of the greatest challenges facing our society.
We know that it takes resources and guidance to help you stay on a successful path toward your chosen career. We have a dedicated Engineering Career Center that offers coaching, workshops and access to internships. We host a Career Exploration Night during your first semester where you will meet with industry representatives across all fields—learning more about career opportunities and making connections early. We also have dedicated academic advisors, engineering tutoring support and peer mentors to help you.
ASU is an exciting place to be, offering all of the resources and amenities of an urban-serving, comprehensive research university with Division I, PAC-12 athletics and a full range of cultural and social activities. There are many opportunities for you and we will help orient you to campus life between now and the start of the fall semester.
It all starts with E2! This three-day experience for all Fulton Schools freshmen is your introduction to our community. You will meet faculty, staff, current students and alumni — and likely make some long-lasting connections with your incoming class. Our students say that E2 is an amazing experience, not only getting them ready to start college, but getting them excited about their future as an engineer. Please check the E2 website at engineering.asu.edu/camp to learn more and register.
If you haven’t done so yet, remember to pay your deposit and register for New Student Orientation. This website provides information about other important next steps for new students.
Welcome to ASU!
